about me
My name is Yanika Sanders and I am a Miami native. I am a student at Florida International University pursuing her dream of becoming a Physician Assistant. Helping others is my passion, my heart truly skips a beat every time I know I have helped someone. The medical field has always been of interest to me. One of my professors shared news about an opportunity to study abroad in India to gain field experience, and I automatically felt so connected and drawn to it. I am fortunate enough to partake in such a life changing experience to study in a place I have never even thought of; Mysore, India. While on my studies abroad, I will be examining both physical and psychological health issues. As part of this learning experience, I will also interact with health care providers and professionals in the medical community. I can't wait to share all the insight and knowledge I will gain from the studies of Global Health in India. Along side the research I will be conducting, I will also be researching and focusing on women's health with cervical cancer. Which will further help me with my higher level of education that I wish to obtain in the medical field.
Follow me on my journey as I explore India and its culture!
